How old do you have to be to start Drivers Education?
15 years and 5 months of age

Is transportation provided for lessons?
You are responsible for own transportation to and from the classroom lessons (and
you are required to be on-time).  We pick up and drop students off at home for the
behind-the-wheel lessons.

When do I have to be paid-in-full for the course?
We require $75.00 the first day of class, and the remainder of the balance must be
paid prior to scheduling your behind-the-wheel driving lessons.

What if I have to miss a class lesson?
You may retake that specific lesson at your earliest convenience.  You can contact
our office to obtain a calendar of lessons, or get a copy of one
here.

What is your cancellation policy for behind-the-wheel lessons?
We require a 24-hour notice for cancellation of a driving lesson.  Weekend lessons
must be cancelled by 3:00pm on Friday.  Failure to give the required notice will
result in a $25.00 no-show fee being assessed to your account.

Will you cancel lessons if the weather is bad?
We usually wait to see exactly what the weather conditions are going to be for your
drive-time before making the decision to cancel.  While the safety of our students
is our top priority, we will drive in snow and rain, as it is important for beginning
drivers to be exposed to all types of driving environments.  Should it be necessary
to cancel driving lessons, we will contact all affected students as soon as possible.
There is no need to call the office.

Do you rent out cones and poles for maneuverability practice?
We offer cones/poles rental to AMS students only.  There is no charge for this
service, but a $80.00 deposit is required.

Do you rent out your cars for use on the Ohio Driver’s Examination?
We offer car rental to AMS students only.  Contact us during normal business
hours to inquire about pricing and availability.

Do you offer Adult driving lessons?
We offer adult lessons with our certified instructors; each lesson lasting 90
minutes. The price is $60 per lesson for the first four lessons; any additional
lessons, following the fourth, is $50 per lesson. In order to schedule lessons we do
require pre-payment for one lesson. We also require that the student sign an
agreement.

Adult Lesson Agreement.

When will I receive my certificate of completion?
Certificates must be mailed and are unavailable for office pick-up.  We mail
certificates one business day after the student completes the program.

How long do I have to hold onto my temps before I can take the Ohio
Driver’s Examination?
Anyone receiving a temporary permit prior to turning 18 must hold the permit for six
months.

How long is my temporary permit valid?
Temporary permits are valid for one year from the date they are validated.
